Hello and welcome to another month at Share Six, the last one for this year and a wonderful theme to end it with, one of my all time favorites ~bokeh~ From Wikipedia: [In photography, bokeh (/ˈboʊkeɪ/ BOH-kay;[1] Japanese: [boke]) is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light". Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause some lens designs to blur the image in a way that is pleasing to the eye, while others produce blurring that is unpleasant or distracting ("good" and "bad" bokeh, respectively). Bokeh occurs for parts of the scene that lie outside the depth of field. Photographers sometimes deliberately use a shallow focus technique to create images with prominent out-of-focus regions. Bokeh is often most visible around small background highlights, such as specular reflections and light sources, which is why it is often associated with such areas. However, bokeh is not limited to highlights; blur occurs in all out-of-focus regions of the image] I tend to shoot wide open with my lenses and I just love the effects you can achieve, especially with Lensbaby and old Vintage lenses. So with that being said, and it being my favorite effect, I have more than six, and because it's that time of year - a few Christmas shots too! I'd like to wish everyone who takes the time to follow our wonderful little blog circle a wonderful Christmas, may it be Happy, Peaceful and full of Good Cheer - and lots of creative photos! Oh WOW!!! Your macro images are simply stunning. My favorite is the flower on the left second row. The water droplets are incredible. Your focus and use of Lensbaby are inspirational. <3
