Hello and welcome to this months edition of the Share Six blog, our new theme will be ~Joy~ I had great joy recently - getting a week away on holiday! We went to Puerto de la Cruz which is a city on the north coast of Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. It’s known for its dark, volcanic-sand beaches. On the seafront, Lago Martiánez is a saltwater pool complex designed by architect César Manrique. The old harbor is home to a 17th-century customs house and Batería de Santa Bárbara, a crumbling 18th-century fort. It also has the most incredible waves - having grown up in a seaside town and watched the waves crash on the shore in storms, I have seen some amazing ones over the years but I was in awe of these, and this was just the norm! I wonder what it's like in a storm?! It was also a surfers paradise and I definitely felt joy watching, I was mesmerised and could sit all day watching and listening to the waves pound and crash on to the rocks. I used my Lensbaby Edge 50 for these images and also my Omni Teardrop crystal for a few.
